Running your own business can be a real self-affirming and rewarding experience. When you look at people who have started up their own venture and are utterly smashing it or simply doing OK,you can’t help but coo words of admiration. Mind, for some, it’s the reverse – envy, jealousy and resentment – but that’s a different topic.
It may well be someone you know. A friend, a family member or even your own partner. But what DONT you see? Behind the success and perceived green pastures of achievement, lies a rocky, dirty and often exhausting path of WORK! Hard, gruelling, mind numbing and unrelenting graft. It’s this consistent, never give up attitude that gets the results. Showing up. Every time. Even when you don’t want to. When you just want to rest and be ‘normal’ like everyone else.
I got back from a 21st birthday party of 100 pizzas last night at 1am. And there was no way was I wanting to do all the dishes and tubs and cutters etc. But…i dug deep and as usual, found the strength. 3am I got to bed. Friday. Same. On kitchen all day, cooking, prepping, dough making. But it’s my PASSION. Im driven and determined to succeed. This week also saw me build this website and create a logo with a 4 am finish!
I’m tired and need to sleep. Back at it tomorrow. Never stop fighting til the fight is done
